skateboard decksThere are several companies that put out radical skateboard decks, each corner their own special look. Dogtown and World Industries have the most popular designs in my view. The unique designs on each board helps to present your special skills and define who you are as a boarder.

Once you have chosen from the skateboard decks available you can continue to build your own board.  Build to the specs you need for the your type of use, weather it is completive or just for joy. The first step is looking for skateboard decks and before you know it the fun begins.

dogtown skateboards Buying a quality brand name skateboard can be very expensive.  For that very reason I started by purchasing a Dogtown skateboards deck. The markup on pre-made skateboards is high, it is much more rewarding to build your own.

A Dogtown skateboards deck is a good start towards creating the coolest skateboard in town.  After the deck I continued to purchase the remaining parts separately until I had my first skateboard at a reasonable price.  It works fine for me and I saved a lot of money.

dogtown Walking past a group of youths showing their skateboarding skills on ramps, I stopped to watch.  Talking to some I found that they preferred using Dogtown skateboards. Why Dogtown skateboards I asked.  They told me because of the quality materials they are made of and the designs on the boards.

It was obvious that Dogtown skateboards were the most popular brand in their eyes.  Their maneuvers were showing the trill of skateboarding, and the occasional Dogtown clothing, showed their desire to own Dogtown skateboards.

My days of skateboards have gone by, but if I were younger I would probably give Dogtown skateboards a try.

decksThose who skate regularly know that their equipment can wear out and break at the least convenient times. A deck might snap right in the middle of a gnarly boardslide, for example, leaving the trucks and wheels fully functional but useless for the time being. Likewise, bearings might become creaky and crusty, preventing the skateboarder from rolling down the street in style.

Luckily, skateboard decks are often sold separately from other equipment and supplies. The addition of trucks and wheels can be pricy, especially when they aren’t even needed. If you’ve been temporarily stalled from indulging in your passion for skateboarding, consider replacing your board as soon as possible. It’s an effective form of exercise as well as a mode of transportation.

Dogtown skateboards emerged as a result of the area of California where the sports popularity started.
